Chestnut Hill Farm Horseback Riding Programs
Riding Lessons
Our riding programs are designed for those who seek to become better riders and advance their riding skills, with qualified professional instructors. We take great care in matching riders with their horses. All levels are welcome in our family-friendly atmosphere. Students are taught more than riding, they are taught horsemanship which includes grooming and tacking before and after each lesson.
Chestnut Hill Farm offers lessons in Hunt Seat Equitation, at levels from beginner to advanced. We take pride in teaching each student in a safe, non-stressful, caring environment. We have 5 school horses available, suitable for all levels. Or you may take lessons on your own horse. Each lesson is structured to the individuals learning needs, so the rider can get the most out of every lesson.
We offer very reasonable prices:
- $40 for 30 minute private lesson
- $40 for 40 minute semi-private (2 riders) lesson
- $40 for 50 minute group (3 or more) lesson
- Discounts available - $240 for 8 lessons (a 25% savings)
Leasing/Shareboarding Program
Our lease/shareboarding program is a great introduction to horse ownership without a big commitment or investment! We carefully match you to an appropriate horse to optimize your experience. Leasing often gives students the opportunity to ride an experienced show horse at their first competitions. We have a great selection of horses available for lease each season. Please call or email Lauren to explore this opportunity. Visit available horses here.
"My wife Dee and I had the pleasure of working with Beth Panocha, asst. trainer at Chestnut Hill for several months this past year. We wanted to express to you how happy we were with Beth's professionalism and talent. She did a wonderful job with us, and she even allowed me to ride her own horse, Ben. Work and other major commitments sadly meant that we had to suspend our lessons for the winter, but I did want to express what an excellent trainer you have in Beth. We're not new to riding, or to trainers. She has the qualities one looks for in a trainer: she is both patient and demanding, very knowledgeable and professional; because of that, we would recommend Chestnut Hill and Beth highly to anyone."
